Terex is a global manufacturer of materials processing machinery and aerial work platforms. We design, build and support products used in construction, maintenance, manufacturing, energy, recycling, minerals and materials management applications. Certain Terex products and solutions enable customers to reduce their environmental impact including electric and hybrid offerings that deliver quiet and emission-free performance, products that support renewable energy, and products that aid in the recovery of useful materials from various types of waste. Our products are manufactured in North America, Europe, Australia and Asia and sold worldwide. We engage with customers through all stages of the product life cycle, from initial specification and financing to parts and service support.

Terex in India

Terex has a manufacturing facility located in Hosur that produces Materials Processing solutions for local distribution and for export into other Asian, African and Middle Eastern countries. Terex also imports Mobile Elevated Work Platforms (MEWPs), Tower Cranes and Rough Terrain Cranes and additional Material Processing equipment to serve the Indian market.

The Terex India R&D Center was established in December 2008 with the objective of providing engineering support to all segment engineering teams across the globe, including products manufactured indigenously to suit the Indian market. The Bangalore-based team supports more than 15 Terex engineering centres across various geographies – USA, UK, Europe and Asia Pacific.

Rough Terrain Cranes:  FR 17

The FR 17 is a very compact pick and carry mobile crane from Franna product range specially designed for the Indian market for higher lifting capacity applications with higher safety standards. This 4 Wheel Drive crane has been designed with 75% stability having powerful CEV BSIV emission compliance engine, synchro shuttle transmission and heavy-duty axles that makes it versatile for all types of crane application. This machine has a large torque converter and no clutch pedal which reduces driver fatigue while working for long crane hours.
